From my experience, most problems in a multicultural society arise due to lack of communication. For example, both local inhabitants and immigrants come across difficulties in the construction of a multicultural society. The greatest conflicts arise particularly in cities, because cities are where cohabitation between diverse cultural groups mostly occurs when different communities compete for material welfare. Taking all these points into consideration, I would say that the world achieves great success in building of a multicultural society, especially in developed countries.
